"Meet the World"

Human diversity makes tolerance more than a virtue; it makes it a requirement for survival.

(Rene Dubos, Celebrations of Life, 1981)

With opened borders and the expansion of communication channels, we tend to believe that all people in the world are united in a mutual global society. However, culturally specific differences remain deeply rooted in each individual. In order to celebrate multiculturalism, it is essential to understand and respect the diversity of views, life styles and cultures.

The project is widely opening doors to the world through presenting interesting individuals from different countries and continents. Once monthly we host two people: one coming from a presented country and another one who is Estonian but somehow connected to the presented region. We inquire about their culture as well as their personal stories. The purpose is to break media stereotypes and illuminate cultures from different side.
