In our house, we organize events to enrich cultural life, scientific activity and the society. Our events have generally educating character and are open to everybody who is interested in the topic.
Korraldame oma majas üritusi, mis rikastavad Eesti kultuurielu, teadustegevust ja ühiskondlikke suhteid. Üritused on üldharivad ning oodatud on kõik, kes on vastavast üritusest huvitatud.
International evening "Meet the world": Colombia 22.04.2010
The April
edition of international discussion evenings Meet the World teleported
us to
Colombia. We visited the country of orchids, coffee and emeralds with
two
interesting guests. Colombian Isabel
Diaz Forero is currently broadening her
academic horizons as a PhD student at Estonian University of Life
Sciences in
Tartu, whereas Kadri Green is an
Estonian who has a great passion for Colombian
culture. She has upgraded her interest in the country by visiting it as a
volunteer
for several times and studying Spanish and Spanish literature.We dropped numerous negative media stereotypes about the country’s famous drug-trafficking and criminal reputation. After hearing astonishing stories we agreed that country’s official motto is correct: Colombia is a passion!
